In the sports industry, entrepreneur and outdoor enthusiast Barry Goldware established Tennis and Ski Warehouse as a startup business in the Midwest. Recognizing an untapped market for winter apparel, Barry, an avid skier himself, took a chance and relocated the business operations to Houston, Texas in July of 1980. This move resulted in the establishment of Sun & Ski Sports, which has since become a prominent retailer of outdoor sporting goods.
